Presque Isle Artists' Association

Presque Isle Artists’ Association , Inc. Is a non profit organization established in 1989 by a small group of artists hoping to offer a unique opportunity to share talents and experience with fellow artists and the community. Our membership continues to grow each year. We welcome not only the experienced artists, but also beginners, aspiring artists, or just lovers of art.
Membership meetings are held every other month on the first Wednesday of February, April, June, August, October, and December. At each meeting (except the August picnic meeting) members enjoy informative programs of artistic interest; these may be in the form of demonstrations, talks, slide presentations, etc. During non-meeting months (January, March, May, July, September, and November) members receive The Palette, a newsletter keeping the membership up-to-date on PIAA events as well as art-related events around the area and other informational articles. We now have an email reminder and notification of events if a member wishes to be placed on the email listing.
The organization holds one annual non-juried art exhibit —– . Additionally, PIAA exhibits at numerous gallery and invitational locations, which may be judged or juried shows offering awards. All through the summer months interested members “paint on location” at various locations around the area. This is a non-instructional activity. Camaraderie and perhaps the inspiration of painting with fellow artists is enjoyed by all participants.
General Membership Meetings are held at 7:00 PM at:
The Luther Memorial Learning Center
220 West 11th Street
Erie, Pa.
The meetings are open to the public.
